THE QUEENS CANCER CENTER
Since its opening in early 2002, the Queens Cancer Center has often been referred to as the crown jewel of NYC Health + Hospitals/Queens. It is the only state-of-the-art, comprehensive cancer center in the County of Queens. Our consummate professionals deliver unsurpassed comprehensive cancer care to our patients.
OUR PEDIATRIC PRACTICE
Our pediatric outpatient practices are staffed by highly trained pediatric practitioners. We take pride in educating our patients and their families on disease prevention, safety and making healthy lifestyle choices from infancy through adolescence. We were also the first designated “Baby-Friendly” hospital in the County of Queens.
DIABETES CARE
Our Diabetes Center of Excellence is notable for its diabetes self-management education program and has been awarded accreditation four times by the American Diabetes Association* (ADA). The American Diabetes Association recognizes our education service as meeting the high National Standards for diabetes self-management.
THE BEHAVIORAL HEALTH TREATMENT CENTER
The center provides services for children, adolescents and adults with the goal of helping patients remain healthy and active. We take pride in identifying the needs of each individual and offer a full spectrum of services and our mission is to restore a person’s mental and physical well-being in a professional and compassionate manner.
VICTIM SERVICES
Our hospital offers comprehensive services and treatment for sexual assault, domestic violence, child abuse, child neglect, and elder abuse. Our program also provides survivors with advocate services during off-hours when the Social Work Department is not on duty.
